West Ham will rival fellow Premier League side Arsenal for the signing of AS Roma striker Mattia Destro, reports the Express.
Fellow league rivals Crystal Palace, Fiorentina and Bundesliga side Wolfsburg have all been said to have interest in the Italian international, who was linked with a move to West Ham earlier this month.
Roma are willing to let the 24-year-old spend the 2015/16 season out on loan, with Rudi Garcia believed to hold the view that Destro has no future at the club, despite scoring 29 goals in 69 games for the club.
Destro spent the second half of last season on loan at Serie A rivals AC Milan, where he managed to score three goals in 15 appearances, but that wasn’t enough to wow the Milan hierarchy and make his loan move permanent.
The Hammers, keen to add a striker to the squad before their opening game of the season in just ten days time against Andorran side FC Lusitans in the first qualifying round of the Europa League, have also been linked with a move for Guingamp striker Claudio Beauvue, but face competition from Qatari side Al Jaish.

Miller Bolanos, international team-mate of Enner Valencia, is also a reported target for the club, who are also closing in on the signature of QPR and England man Charlie Austin.
