West Ham are poised to win the race to sign QPR striker Charlie Austin this month, reports the Express.
The Hammers have seemingly seen off interest from Chelsea, Newcastle and Southampton to land the impressive striker, with all three clubs now looking at secondary targets.
Bookmakers Betfair have now suspended betting on the 25-year-old signing for West Ham this summer, following a ‘flurry of bets’ which saw odds move from 8/1 all the way into 1/4 over the space of a couple of hours.

Ladbrokes have also slashed their odds on the deal to be completed, with a move form 6/1 to 10/11 occurring during the week.
ESPN have also confirmed that the Hammers have made a move to sign the striker.
He scored 18 goals in 36 Premier League appearances last season, one every other game, which is an exceptional ration for a player in their debut season at the highest level.
Also being considered in the striker hunt is Fenerbahce’s Nigerian hit-man Emmanuel Emenike, who will be allowed to leave the Turkish club this summer for around €10m.
Another name to look out for is Emelec striker Miller Bolanos. The Ecuadorian – team-mate of Enner Valencia – has scored 40 goals in 72 games since 2014, as well as four in seven for the national side since making his debut earlier this year.
