West Ham have been linked with a summer move for Emelec striker Miller Bolanos.
Italian source Calcio Mercato are reporting that the Hammers, as well as Swansea, are monitoring the Ecuadoran’s progress during this summer’s Copa America, where’s he’s impressed.
The 25-year-old caught the eye in Ecuador’s last game against Mexico, where he scored and assisted possible future West Ham team-mate Enner Valencia in a 2-1 victory, and has four goals in seven appearances for his country since making his debut earlier in 2015.
Bolanos and Valencia were briefly team-mates at Emelec before the latter went on and signed for Pachuca in 2014, which led to Bolanos stepping up to the plate and becoming the leading scorer for the club.
24 goals in 48 games during the 2014 season, as well as 16 in 24 for the 2015 season has made the South American one of the more sought-after players in the Continent.
West Ham seem determined to land a new striker, as they close in on the £15m signing of QPR striker Charlie Austin, while also holding an interest in Fenerbahce forward Emmanuel Emenike.
