West Ham have agreed to sign Genk defender Kara Mbodj, according to a report in HITC.
The Senegalese international centre-back was reportedly linked with a move to West Ham, which fell through on deadline day, confirmed David Sullivan.
The 25-year-old was then looked at by Everton as a potential replacement for Sylvain Distin, but appear to have lost out to the Hammers.
A reported fee of around £4m has been agreed between West Ham and Genk, and the deal will be announced in the coming days.
Mbodj has also spent time playing in defensive midfield, much like his compatriot Cheikhou Kouyate. The attraction of playing with fellow international team mates Kouyate and Diafra Sakho is a big plus point for the club.
