West Ham have joined Southampton in their pursuit of highly-rated Czech right-back Pavel Kaderabek, according to a report from HITC.
The Sparta Prague defender has enjoyed a breakthrough season in the Republic this season, and is also wanted by Bundesliga side Schalke.
The 23-year-old is being lined up by both clubs as a contingency plan to if they lose their current starters at the position.
With Arsene Wenger hinting that he wants to keep Jenkinson at the Emirates next season, West Ham will make a move to sign Kaderabek, and hope that first-team Premier League football can lure him in.
Having made his international debut a year ago, Kaderabek has made seven appearances for the Czech national side, scoring one goal.
