Lazio midfielder Danilo Cataldi looks set to snub the interest of West Ham in order to commit his future to the club, reports Calciomercato.
The 20-year-old has also been linked with Arsenal this season, but believes his game will develop more if he stays put in Serie A for the foreseeable future.
To thwart the interest of Premier League clubs, Lazio have offered the Italy U21 international a new deal until 2020 which sees his wages more than double.
West Ham have had scouts watch Cataldi several times since the turn of the year, and were putting together an offer for the Italian side to consider.
Calatdi will be playing alongside former West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison for Lazio next season, when the England U21 international’s move becomes finalised in the summer.
